We do recommend you get one with a powerful CPU and plenty of ram coupled with a good graphics card. This level of laptop is going to enable you to view footage smoothly and without slowdown and for ourselves we have firewire and high speed usb 2.0 connections available to allow the connection of various different types of recording devices. It’s also entirely possible to run monitoring software linked to various items of equiment for ease of data recording of investigation results. But of course don’t forget the plethora of cables for you’ll no doubt need to connect all these devices to your system.
